Record Workflows

Every editable record in Prolog Converge can be sent through a specific workflow process. After you apply a workflow template or an ad-hoc workflow for the record, it is assigned to the predefined approvers, who can take action on it.

Note: In the Prolog Converge Admin tool, you can also configure workflow templates to be automatically engaged when a record that meets specific criteria is saved. For information on creating workflow templates, refer to the Prolog Converge Administration Client User Guide (Web Modules > Workflow Templates).

Applying a Record Workflow

On the Workflow tab, you can select a workflow template or create an ad-hoc workflow for the record. The following tabs are available:

The visibility and features of the Workflow tab are controlled by your Administrator using Prolog Converge Authorities.

Taking Action on a Record Workflow

If you are assigned as an approver in the current workflow step, you can take the following actions:

If specified in the workflow template (via the Prolog Converge Admin tool), email notifications can also be sent to approvers. Then they can take action on the workflow by replying to the email.
